People have come from as far away as Norway and Estonia to work at Summer Jo’s.

Work opportunities range from full-time long-term jobs to part-time temporary employment. In the restaurant there are waiting and hosting and cooking and dishwashing jobs. On the farm, most workers perform a variety of tasks, from weeding to harvesting to working the booth at market.

Summer Jo’s participates in the international Wwoof program, which enables people to learn first-hand about organic growing techniques, lets town-dwellers experience living and helping on a farm, helps farmers make organic production a viable alternative, and helps to improve communications within the organic movement.
